WINERIES - Murphys is called "The Next Napa" by many who remember that, in the 1970s, Napa looked a lot like Murphys does today: no commercial restaurants or hotels, just local flavor. NEIGHBORHOOD ROADS - The Murphys Pines community is growing, with several new homes built in the past few years. The private roads are being converted to asphalt, with the most-used sections being paved first. All of the private roads are maintained by the Falcon Mine Road Association, which is funded by annual voluntary dues from property owners.
